WISE Up Workshops

Being a parent carer of a child or young person with additional needs can bring extra situations which are challenging to know how to handle. To help support parent carers navigate these a range of workshops have been created by Somerset Parent Carer Forum based on the subjects you have told them would be helpful.

Somerset SENDIAS

Somerset SENDIAS (Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support) can give children, young people and their parent carers information, advice and support about SEND. Somerset SENDIAS offers:

• a phone helpline and email support

• information, advice and support on SEND law through the Somerset SENDIAS website and leaflets

• information, advice and support for mediation and SEND tribunals

• information on local SEND groups 

• information on Somerset’s Local Offer

• signposting to other services
