Our Vision and Values

Our vision of ‘challenging the norm’ is created through empowering our children, fostering innovation and making positive change for ourselves, our community and the world around. Through this we are continually striving for excellence at Milborne Port Primary School.

Our rich and diverse curriculum was designed to inspire and allow children to question what is commonly accepted through a broad range of opportunities and experiences. Our aim is to nurture a life-long thirst for learning whilst creating the future problem-solvers, researchers and innovators of our society. We believe that our school and community can push for new possibilities whist working together as a team to build a future for the next generation. Our students are encouraged to lead, to serve, and to speak up. Whether through ambitious experiences, collaborative work within school, or local partnerships, we are deeply committed to equipping every learner with the knowledge, empathy, and confidence to be changemakers in a complex and evolving world.

Every planned experience that we complete is an opportunity for our children to develop their character through our gateways: citizenship, leadership, expression, explorers and flourishing. We believe that through our values, that are linked to these gateways, we will create deeper thinkers and resilient pupils who will become the next generation of caring, compassionate and curious citizens.
